Uncertain Expansion was envisioned as a synthetic merging of industrial and organic form. The materials are raw wool and scrap steel. Hidden inside the sculpture are two electric motors that slowly turn and cause a subtle undulation of the wool surface. The effect is almost imperceptible, and often takes the viewer by surprise.

Uncertain Expansion was purchased in 2005 and is on permanent display at EHM&T Inc.
